Magnolia wood has been the traditional handle material for Japanese kitchen knives for centuries. It is a soft, lightweight wood with a smooth surface that is comfortable in the hand and easy to grip even when wet. Its natural oils give it innate antimicrobial properties, and its light weight keeps the balance of the knife forward - where it belongs for Japanese-style cutting. Care & Maintenance

Hand wash only - do not soak or submerge the handle
